Sacked for sleeping on the job: Binmen dismissed after being caught napping in their cab at 9.30am

A passing businessman photographed one Birmingham City Council worker slumped at the driver seat, left, with his hefty boots on the dashboard while another, pictured right, snoozed with his head resting against the back rest. Council bosses took swift action after they were sent the pictures, telling the pair who worked for an outside agency their services are no longer required.
