Rihanna cracks open the bubbly as she sets off on 777 world tour in private jumbo jet
Rihanna is embarking on a world tour with a difference.
The singer has just kicked off her 777 tour which will see her turning a plane into her own private tour bus.
The
24-year-old invited some of her fans and members of the press to join
her on the trip – during which she will perform in seven cities across
seven nights.

The tour is promoting the Diamonds star’s upcoming seventh album, Unapologetic.
Clearly
eager to get going, Rihanna said of her new tour: ‘I am so excited
about the 777 tour. We are turning this jumbo jet into our tour bus.
‘We
are practically living on this thing for a week: sleeping, partying all
together. Me, my fans, the press... it's going to be a wild ride.’
Rihanna
explained why she decided to do it, revealing: ‘I wanted it to be a
rock 'n' roll adventure, and I think when it's over it will be the
coolest thing I've ever done. I'm that excited about it.’

The star was seen preparing to board
her giant jet, looking eager to get going and sporting a black maxi
dress, high-top trainers with neon green detail, a varsity jacket tied
around her waist and a leopard print rucksack on her back.
She also took the time to pose for a photo in front of her sizeable private plane.

as always was updating her fans the entire time and wrote on Twitter:

still top secret, but the singer will perform in seven cities across

Rihanna will be visiting the
capital cities of France, Germany, Sweden, the USA, Mexico, Canada and
the UK, while accompanied by a lucky group of fans and 150 journalists
representing 82 countries.
And
although the top secret tour is kicking off on Wednesday evening, the
singer has yet to reveal almost all of the exact venues where she will
perform.
She did
however release the information about her first stop in Mexico City on
Wednesday, and seemed excited to start the jet-set week.

previously tweeted of her innovative tour: ‘This is really going down
huh?!! This was once a random idea thrown out in a
brainstorm...coincidentally, on a plane!! Whoever is getting on my
flying tour bus with us, Good Luck!!! (sic)’
